A writer is one who is responsible for the creation and structure of a written story or article. Writers of books are referred to as authors or novelists. Writers for film and television are sometimes referred to as screenplay or teleplay writers. On a TV series, a writer who is involved with multiple episodes for a studio is referred to as a staff writer.
