Vittorio Cottafavi was an Italian television writer and director. He was born in Emilia-Romagna, Italy on January 30th, 1914. He was the writer and director of the 1972 Italian sci-fi series A come Andromeda. The series was a remake of the 1961 BBC television program A for Andromeda. Vittorio Cottafavi passed away in Anzio, Italy on December 14th, 1998.
