A Seer is a name given to one who possesses a form of clairvoyance. They are people who have prophetic visions of the future. In ancient times, such people were often venerated and referred to as oracles.
On the "Nick of Time" episode of the sci-fi anthology series The Twilight Zone, Don and Pat Carter stop at a diner in the small Ohio town of Ridgeview where they find a strange "Mystic Seer" fortune-telling machine.
Seers have appeared on the WB Network television series Charmed. One seer named Kyra was of demonic origin and was played by actress Charisma Carpenter. Another seer, played by Debbi Morgan, oversaw the birth of Phoebe Halliwell's baby.
