Ryan Cartwright is a British television actor. He was born in Erdington, Birmingham, England on March 14th, 1981. Ryan first got into TV acting in 1997 when he was cast in the role of Darren Grimley in the 1997 UK television movie The Grimleys. This carried over into the The Grimleys television series which aired from 1999 to 2001. Ryan appeared in all twenty-two episodes of the show. Ryan's next regular work was playing a young man named Steve on the English comedy series Hardware. He appeared in all twelve episodes.

Ryan's first major work in American television was a recurring role on the FOX Network crime drama series Bones. He played a medical intern named Vincent Nigel-Murray and was one of several rotating cast members who filled such a role on the show. Cartwright appeared in eleven episodes of the series, culminating with the death of the character in 2011's "The Hole in the Heart".

Between episodes of Bones, Ryan Cartwright appeared on episodes of the drama series Mad Men where he played a character named John Hooker. Ryan appeared in five episodes from season three of the show as Hooker including, "Out of Town", "The Arrangements", "Guys Walks Into an Advertising Agency", "The Color Blue" and "Shut the door. Have a Seat".

In 2011, Ryan Cartwright was cast a series regular on the Syfy series Alphas. He was one of the main characters on the show and played fan favorite Gary Bell. Ryan appeared in all twenty-four episodes of the program.
