Robert Gordon was an American film and television director born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 21st, 1913. He started out as a child actor during the silent film era, appearing in a string of movies under the name Bob Gordon.
Robert Gordon made his directorial debut with the 1947 film noir movie Blind Spot starring Chester Morris and Constance Dowling. In 1955, Gordon directed the sci-fi/adventure classic It Came from Beneath the Sea, which proved to be his only venture into the genre of science fiction.
Robert Gordon passed away in Los Angeles, California on December 1st, 1990 at the age of 77.
