Overview[]

Margaret White née Brigham was a mentally unbalanced woman who was married to a man named Ralph White. During their marriage, Ralph raped and impregnated Margaret, ultimately giving birth to a daughter named Carrie. Margaret developed strong fundamentalist Christian values which led to a lifetime of abuse visited upon her daughter. Of course, a lot of this behavior was accentuated by the fact that Carrie had freakin' telekinesis.
