Leviathan is an American feature film of the science fiction and horror genres. It was directed by George P. Cosmatos with a screenplay written by Jeb Stuart based on a story treatment by co-writer David Webb Peoples. It was produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and released theatrically in the United States on March 17th, 1989. The film boasts a cast of certain sci-fi notables including RoboCop 's Peter Weller in the lead role of Steven Beck, Richard Crenna as Doctor Glen "Doc" Thompson, Amanda Pays as Elizabeth "Willie" Williams, Daniel Stern as Buzz "Sixpack" Parrish, Ernie Hudson as Justin Jones and Hector Elizondo as G.P.
