"The Man from the Edge of Tomorrow (Part 1)" is the first episode of season two of the Legion of Super-Heroes animated television series by DC Entertainment & Warner Bros. Animation, and the fourteenth episode of the series overall. It was directed by Brandon Vietti with a script written by Michael Jelenic. It first aired on the CW Network on September 22nd, 2007.

  • This is the first appearance of Superman X, who is a clone of Kal-El from the 41st century. He is given the proper name Kell-El.
  • This is the first appearance of Imperiex in a licensed DC Comics animated project. Imperiex is a character from the comics, who was introduced in Superman, Volume 2 #153 in February, 2000. He was the central antagonist featured in the "Our Worlds at War" storyline.
  • Kell-El is exclusive to the continuity of the Legion of Super-Heroes cartoon series and is not based on a preexisting character.
