JARVIS is the name attributed to a fictional artificial intelligence featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Voiced by British actor Paul Bettany, it was first referenced in the 2008 feature film Iron Man. Bettany reprised the role for the 2010 sequel, Iron Man 2 and was also involved in the 2012 movie The Avengers. Bettany returned to the Iron Man franchise in 2013 where he voiced JARVIS in Iron Man 3. In terms of independent action, JARVIS played a critical role in the climax of the film.

- The name JARVIS is taken from the character of Edwin Jarvis from Marvel Comics comic books. He was the butler to the Stark family for many years and later became the butler to the Avengers.
