Iskalonians are a fictional alien race featured in the Star Wars multimedia franchise. They are considered part of the "Expanded Universe" and do not appear in either the original film trilogy or the prequel series. They originally appeared in the Star Wars comic book series published by Marvel Comics, and was introduced in Star Wars #74 in a story titled, "The Iskalon Effect".
Description[]
Iskalonian refers to the races, people and culture of the planet Iskalon. All of the known races of Iskalonians are water breathers, but the most well-known of their species are the Inleshat. All races that comprise Iskalonian culture originate from other worlds. The Inleshat are originally from Drexel. The Frid are originally from Mackar. The Graygl are originally from Danalbath. The Nejma are originally from Eriscot, and the Striber hail from Julsojod III. It is unknown exactly how many races make up the entirety of Iskalonian culture.
Biology[]
Iskalonians are water breathers with green or orange scaly skin of varying shades. Phsyical characteristics may differ depending upon the species, but most possess some variation of marine biological characteristics such as gills, tapered mouths, fins, etc.
Culture[]
Iskalonian culture is divided into schools, the leader of which is a being known as Primor. Other Iskalonians of note include his son, Mone and his daughter-in-law Kendle. Primor is not a monarch, and dislikes being thought of as a leader, but other Iskalonians follow his lead nevertheless.
