Frederick Kiber, better known as Kiber the Cruel, is a fictional supervillain featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is part of the mainstream Marvel Universe and a foe of the Black Panther. He was first introduced in Black Panther, Volume 1 #11 in September, 1978. However, this was only a facsimile of the actual character. His first true appearance, which also happened to be his final appearance was in Black Panther, Volume 1 #13.

Biography[]

Soldiers[]

Kiber employed a force of android soldiers, all of whom bore a strong resemblance to his original human visage. They were dressed in red and yellow uniforms similar to Kiber's and armed with giant axes. Kiber had his soldiers abduct random human civilians and bring them back to Kiber Isle where they were placed inside of a machine that transformed their physical bodies into pure energy, which Kiber then absorbed to maintain his own life energeis. The Black Panther suffered from recurring nightmares of being attacked and ultimately defeated by Kiber's army.

Equipment[]

Life Collection Chamber: Kiber utilized a cylindrical matter transmutation conversion chamber, which stood vertically approximately two meters in height. He would have his robot soldiers place abducted victims into the chamber whereupon the machine would covert the molecules of their mass into life energy that Kiber would absorb to sustain himself.
