Frankie Raye is a fictional super-hero who also goes by the name of Nova. She is featured in comic book titles published by Marvel Comics and is part of the mainstream Marvel Universe. She is generally associated with books in the Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer family of comic book titles. The character was created by writer Roy Thomas and artist George Pérez and first appeared in the pages of Fantastic Four #164 in November, 1975.
Biography[]
Frankie Raye was Johnny Storm's girlfriend. Frankie and Johnny were walking through Central Park one day discussing the future of their relationship when an air elemental - one of four such creatures, attacked them. By forming a tornado, it whisked them both high into the air. Johnny was slammed to the ground and knocked unconscious. Presumably, Frankie landed safely elsewhere. [1]
