Dave Cockrum was a comic book illustrator born in Pendleton, Oregon on November 11th, 1943. He is best known for his work at Marvel Comics and DC Comics, in particular, for his part in giving the failing Uncanny X-Men title a much-needed shot in the arm by overhauling the book's team line-up and branding it with the tagline, "The All-New, All-Different X-Men".
