Blue Five is a fictional military call sign featured in the Star Wars multimedia franchise. It was first used in the 1976 novelization Star Wars: From the Adventures of Luke Skywalker, which was the official adaptation of the 1977 Star Wars feature film. The call sign was used by Luke Skywalker when he was a member of Blue Squadron during the Rebel Alliance's attack on the first Death Star. The call sign was also used in Star Wars #6, which was the final chapter of the movie adaptation as presented in the Star Wars comic book series by Marvel Comics. In the feature film, Skywalker's call sign was changed to Red Five. During the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, the Sullustan known as Nien Nunb used the call sign with Blue Squadron.
