Bespin is a fictional planet featured in the Star Wars multimedia franchise. It was briefly seen in the 1980 feature film Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.
Description[]
Bespin is an immense gas giant planet located in the Bespin system in the Anoat sector in the Outer Rim Territories. Its atmosphere is comprised primarily of Tibanna gas, which is a valuable commodity amongst minors. A series of free-floating structures called Cloud City inhabit the atmosphere and houses the mining guild administration offices as well as the miners themselves, most of whom were members of the Ugnaught race. For a time, Lando Calrissian was Baron Administrator of Cloud City, until his assets were seized by Imperial occupation during the Galactic Civil War.

- In the original Expanded Universe by Marvel Comics, Bespin had a surface area, where Ugnaughts once lived. This has since been rendered apocryphal with the establishment that Bespin is a gas planet.
