Benny - DCU

Benny was a criminal who operated out of Gotham City. He was partnered with another man named Momo. Benny and Momo murdered a man nicknamed Little Jimmy. They drove the body out to Bristol Township, believing that it would be some time before anyone of the wealthy elite would even possibly stumble upon it. Benny and Momo were going to bury the body underneath some flagstones. The burial was interrupted by the untimely arrival of Batman, who was chasing down clues relating to this old foe, the Riddler. Another villain, Arthur Brown - the Cluemaster, was also present. Surprised by Batman's sudden appearance, Benny took a shot at him, and nicked the side of his cowl. (Detective Comics 706)

Another resident of Gotham City named Benny was Benny "The Buzz". Benny was an informant who gave Batman information relating to the location of the skyscraper laboratory used by Victor Fries. Batman learned from Benny that Fries owned the entire building. Benny was more afraid of Fries than of Batman however, and warned Fries ahead of time that Batman was coming after him. (Batman 308)

Gotham[]

Gotham 1x05 003

Benny was a young homeless drug addict living on the streets of Gotham City. He made money by sitting on the steps of a building playing his guitar. A sign on top of his guitar case read, "No need to lie. Need money for drugs".

A strange man with a mangled ear named Stan Potolsky dropped a vial of green liquid into Benny's guitar case. This designer drug, known as Viper, had a label on its side that read, "Breathe Me". After taking just a single whiff of Viper, he grew inhumanly strong and suffered a psychotic break.

Benny entered a convenience store, and emptied a gallon of milk into his mouth without paying for it. The proprietor of the store yelled at him, to which Benny replied, "Do not vex me, mortal". The man came around the counter with a baseball bat, but Benny grabbed it from him and broke it in half. He then then ripped the store's ATM machine from the wall and made off with it down the street.

Detectives James Gordon and Harvey Bullock interviewed the store's cashier after the crime and tracked Benny down. As they tried to arrest him, Benny lifted the ATM machine up above his head. However, at this point, the drug's dangerous side effects kicked in, resulting in a drastic depletion of calcium and bone strength. His bones grew brittle and the sudden loss of his recently inherited strength caused him to collapse beneath the weight of the machine, which crushed him to death. (Gotham: Viper)
