Albert Edward Sutherland is a British film director born in London, England on January 5th, 1895. His first feature film work was the silent movie Coming Through in 1925.
Albert's first and only science fiction feature film was 1940's The Invisible Woman for Universal Pictures. The movie was written by Robert Lees, Fred Rinaldo and Gertrude Purcell based on a story by Curt Siodmak and Joe May. It was produced by Universal Pictures and released theatrically in the United States on December 27th, 1940. The film stars Virginia Bruce as the main character, Kitty Carroll.
A. Edward Sutherland passed away in Palm Springs, California on December 31st, 1973 at the age of 78.
